Create a link

  1. Open any application. 
  2. Click on “Open Sheets” in the top bar.
  3. A view that displays your sheet's data opens up. Go to the sheet (Ex, Employees) where you want to create a link
  4. Click on “New Sheet Link”
  5. Select a sheet to be linked (Ex, Projects)
  6. Make sure that the sheet to link has an ID column (Ex, Project ID in Projects)
  7. Input linking logic. Link rows if column value in the current sheet (Ex, Project ID in Employees sheet) is equal to ID column in linked sheet (Ex, Project ID in Projects)
  8. A new link column (Ex, “Projects” column in Employees) is created to represent how current sheet is linked to the selected sheet
  9. Another link column is auto created in the linked sheet too linking the current sheet data to it (Ex, “Employees” column in “Projects”)
