Barcode scanner helps businesses scan products without manually putting the product ID/SKU.
Utilize provides the ability to scan barcodes through a button in the search bars or when you input data through text, number, paragraph components.
The supported barcode formats are:
1. UPC-A
2. Code 39
3. UPC-E
4. Code 93
5. EAN-8
6. Code 128
7. EAN-13
Enable barcode scanner in the search bar
1. Go to a View Rows/Update Rows screen
2. In the screen configuration, go to the section How does it behave?
3. Toggle Allow Scan to enable the barcode scanner
4. A barcode icon will show up on the right end of the search bar
5. Click on it to scan a barcode
Enable barcode scanner in input text, number, paragraph components
1. Go to an Update Row/Create Row screen
2. Go to the component that you want to add barcode scanner to
3. Toggle Allow Scan to enable the barcode scanner
Important Notes:
1. The barcode scanner only works on mobile devices. On Desktop, you will get a fixed text "ABCD123456789"
